this is giving me trouble
I’m currently waiting to board a flight to London after departing on-time and returning to Denver due to technical (electrical?) issues.
Not for work. I’m off for a sneaky week with my spouse to celebrate our 18th anniversary by getting my face *thisclose* to as many Cornish tidepools as possible.
Which brings me to my dilemma Reader:
As a business owner, how do you prepare for a restful vacation?
It’s SUNDAY.
It’s my wedding anniversary. 👑💍
And I brought my laptop to do client work while Chris is in the shower and to be prepared in case something unexpected pops up. (When does it not on social media, tbh? #tattoogate hellooo?!?!)
I’m learning REST and RELAXATION are like sweet, energizing sap to my creative process…but it doesn’t always feel natural in my body. Especially when my Enneagram 7 FOMO or Human Design line 3 Manifesting Generator tendencies mind is craving the next fangirl adventure.
Sooo… before I get on a soapbox about productivity...
Do you have any advice for making vacations less work-y and more vacation-y?

CHARGE👏 YOUR👏WORTH👏 How many times have you heard that + just found yourself... 🤔 😟 😰 🥴 🙃? The "charge your worth" advice makes my teeth hurt for a couple of reasons.
